Most people who “believe in God but not so much in the Bible” usually have valid concerns: slavery, misogyny, etc..
Coming at them with “it’s God-inspired” or “God-breathed” without actually addressing their concerns does nothing but reinforce their skepticism of the Bible.

They’ve already established disbelief/skepticism towards the text. Our next job is to find out why so that we can minister to them. Hear them out on why they don’t rock with the Bible and then help correct misconceptions where you know you can.
For the misconceptions you can’t answer off rip.. offer to study that subject with them. Offering to study the Word with them on a subject does two things:
1. Shows your humility and acceptance of not knowing all the answers
2. Creates an opportunity for extended ministry.
