Was reading Acts 15:1-21 and noticed in the scriptures which i will love to share with you all

Issa Thread
But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
Acts 15:5 KJV

What i want to touch on is actually this particular verse
I want you to notice something in the verse "Certain sect of Pharisees which Believed"

These guys were Christians now but they still held on to some certain beliefs that they got to learn in the past. If you notice these guys were part of the guys that fuelled the argument.
See When we got born again it's our Spirit that gets born again and not our mind.

Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
says "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
That's why as a Christian you can bring in a wrong believe into Christianity!

Some people can be a Christian and yet practice things that are not consistent with the Word because they brought such believes from traditions or their backgrounds
That's why you'd see a Christian after being born again will still go back to his village to go and wear masquerade and practising spiritual things that's not consistent with the life in Christ.

That's why you'd see a Christian say "I'm a sinner Saved by Grace"
You'd see a Christian say things like i can never forgive such a fellow

I can not marry from this tribe or that tribe.

They don't submit to spiritual authority if they are older than the person, Maybe where they came from they don't submit to authorities like that
Such people have made the Word of God of non-effect through their traditions!

This is the reason we have to renew our mind and our Thinking with the Word of God.

That's how to put off wrong ideas from your mind

The more you renew your mind the more you see like God
Romans 12:2 KJV says "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Renewing your mind with the Word should be a daily thing!
If you choose to not renew your mind with the Word you will stop the new life that you receive in Jesus from expressing itself in our thoughts and actions.

I love what Paul said to the Galatians 👇
Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.
Galatians 5:1 TPT
To the Galatians the bondage of the past was them trying to live by the law

For some of you the bondage of the past can be

* Thinking you are under a Generational curse"

*Thinking that God is angry with you when you do wrong

* Thinking that you are not good enough etc
