I look around at the fash in my own backyard and it's the men actually organizing the armed vigilantes (or trying to).

My understanding of "Karen" is that it came from Black people discussing the way in which white women weaponize white supremacy's mandate to protect the fragile white woman at all costs.

It sounds real different coming from other white people and esp from white men.

Like white people have latched onto "Karen" to a terrifying degree and this incident in st Louis demonstrates the way we've been using it: to give white men a pass for their racist behavior by ignoring it while we demonstrate our virtue by using a word taken from Black people.
