The timing of this voter registration exercise is quite awful given the plain reality that Ghana's #COVID19 situation is rapidly deteriorating.

But voting is our highest civic duty, so register we must. Here's some practical advice on how you can do this safely:
2/PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS - Following the basic #COVID19 precautions can reduce your own risk of exposure and protect others as well.

Insist that the EC officials at your polling station enforce compliance rigorously and document it if they do not:
3/ARRIVE PREPARED - You can directly reduce your risk of exposure to #COVID19 by reducing the time you spend at the registration center.

To do so, you must arrive with all the necessary documentation and information to ensure your registration is processed quickly:
4/ THE FORMS YOU'LL NEED:

Here's the VOTER REGISTRATION FORM:
https://ec.gov.gh/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/VOTER-REGISTRATION-FORM.pdf

And here's the GUARANTEE FORM:
https://ec.gov.gh/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/EC-GUARANTEE-FORM_2020.pdf

You only need to fill the Guarantee Form if you do not have a valid Ghanaian Passport or Ghana Card.
5/ DISINFECT EVERYTHING WHEN YOU GET HOME - Wipe down everything you took with you to the registration center **as soon as you return home**. You can use disinfectant wipes or spray a disinfectant on them and wipe with a clean tissue. DO NOT FORGET TO DO THIS!!
6/ DOCUMENT ANY BREECHES OF THE #COVID19 PROTOCOLS - Forward them to any media house/journalist via their social media channels.

7/ If you are not admitted to the registration center on health grounds, please document the reasons why you were barred (high temperature, symptom presentation, etc,), the data and the time.

Collect the NAME, ROLE and FACILITY of the GHS officials in attendance as well.
