as an aro lesbian, it always bugs me that people so often complain about the lesbian flag not being included in stuff. NOT because i think people shouldn't care, but because people ONLY complain with the lesbian flag, in my experience. (+)
I want to mention that this is super not meant to be a statement of absolute morality or anything like that, I've just been thinking about it for a pretty long time and thought it was worth talking about. (+)
I feel like this was especially a big thing on tumblr, where while the lesbian flag was often included in pride art it wasn't included as much as EG the bi flag, but every time it wasn't included people would be really upset.

there's a similar trend here though not as much (+)
this has always made me feel a bit alienated because, well, my aro flag is almost NEVER included in these posts. (nor are flags of other slightly less well known IDs).

and I have never once seen someone raise hell this way when the aro flag isn't included. (+)
again, not meant to be a statement of truth, just food for thought.

its always felt really concerning to me that there's this idea of Injustice™ when the lesbian flag is sometimes left out, that really really isn't present with other identities. (+)
as if there's something about lesbians (probably being more well known / mainstream) that makes us Deserve to see our flag while other flags don't.

(+)
this is esp amplified by the common to complaints about tumblr posts, along the lines of "you included the ACE flag but not the LESBIAN one???", accompanied with a sense of outrage and of deserving more. (+)
of course lesbians were far from the only ones being left out of these posts. it was just that they had the platform + non lesbians cared enough to RAISE HELL.

idk what my point for this thread is but I'd really like to discuss this w yall
sorry if this was super rambly + nonsensical, my adhd makes it rlly hard to word things concisely.
