Govt preoccupied with number who have applied. Real question is who has not. Govt has no grip on those figures. What is clear? Certain groups more likely to miss deadline esp people w. complex pasts/presents. This includes the UK's 10,000 affected #ChildrenInCare & #CareLeavers.

How can we protect children like Anna? Local authorities need to identify affected children & connect them to legal advice for applics to Settlement Scheme & GB citizenship. In Manchester there's been a Council pledge thks to @GarryBridges @DCSManchester
