Some arguments being made & their problems.

"Will this bring our 20 soldiers back?"
Nothing will bring them back. So, let's do nothing?

"Will PMCARES return TikTok's money?"
Let TikTok ask. Are you their spokesperson or Chinese Communist Party's collection agent?
“Do you think banning apps is enough to stop China?”

This is ‘does this solve all problems’ fallacy. No one step will solve it all. Doesn’t mean you don’t take any steps.

“Too small to have any impact on China’s economy”
Market of a billion people is too small? Good luck.
“If the govt says apps posed threat, why weren’t they banned earlier?”
In foreign policy, if you go merely by what is said and not what is meant, you have no business analysing.

“Will hurt India more than China”
Products can be replaced. Can loss of market be replaced?
“This will discourage investors”
Right. China closing off its market from any outsiders didn’t deter investors but this will.

“India was not among top revenue generators for TikTok”
Well, then why are you cribbing? Then they’re better off without this market.
"We are just banning apps in return for 20 soldiers being killed?"
Our soldiers already inflicted casualties on them. Also, our govt isn't a one trick pony. This is a start.

"What about jobs?"
Why don't you specify how many jobs? Moreover, new job can be found, not a new country
