I don’t use the d or f slurs, but the idea that bi ppl cant use them has never made sense to me. ive read all the arguments & thought about it for a long time & I feel like gender and sexuality is too complicated to have strict rules surrounding slurs & it only reinforces gender
This is not to say that just anyone can use these slurs, but I feel like we should keep in mind that these categories we use to define gender and sexuality and the slurs that are attached to them are not static.
And a lot of discourse surrounding re-claiming lgbt slurs is dependent on the stability of gender and sexuality as categories. Idk if this made sense, but I’m open to hearing other points of view
Unrelated but, I hate when non-blacks try to compare bi women using the d slur to non-blacks saying nigga cuz non-blacks do not face violence from the n word, but bi women can and have faced violence specific to their experience from the d slur
