This is simplistic rubbish.

We’re living in the timeline the moral compromise of the GOP created. Would Donald Trump have won the nomination of a healthy party who had been listening to its base?

They gave us amnesty McCain and pro-choice before he was pro-life Romney. https://twitter.com/davidafrench/status/1277710273059659778
We held our noses and voted for them. They lost. Romney rolled over down the stretch, barely mounting a fight against media attacks.

The left branded us as racists and extremists while the GOP apologized for any offense and could barely hide their embarrassment of pro-lifers.
Then comes 2016 and the party’s such a freaking mess they can’t manage to get along enough to field a “good” candidate against Trump.

Many of us Evangelicals opposed Trump through the entire primary, but we lost.
When the choice was Trump or allow a party to win that actively opposes everything I believe in, you bet I voted for Trump.

Was it a moral compromise? I guess so, just like every other GOP candidate I’ve been given in the last couple decades.
