Our generation is the first addressing this so it is not entirely surprising that trans and cis women can only collectively embrace definitional affinity. 2/
Trans girls like Zaya Wade, and cis girls who grow up with girls Zaya will not have this problem.

The sooner trans girls are brought back into their community, and the more we relinquish biological determinism, the more meaningful and substantial our affinities will be. 3/
