I had a recruiter tell me i wouldn’t get a job in infosec since I don’t have an undergrad degree in IT/CS (I graduated with a B.S. in civil engineering) it was so hard to hear since I had studied for months for my sec+ and CCSK certs :/

But not giving up esp after joining the infosec community on twitter has given me a lot of hope! Also because I start my first tech internship in a week

Literally just goes to show that you shouldn’t let one persons “opinion” affect you and you shouldn’t doubt yourself when you are working hard to achieve your goals!
