tw consensual noncon

So I just left this as a comment on this fic but I want to make a little thread too about why I love this fic so very much (although I will admit I did not expect to - I'm not into noncon and even consensual noncon isn't something I seek out) https://twitter.com/beccastanz/status/1277320681034784771
The setup is excellent, it really gets into Rey's head and unlike other consensual noncon I've read (where the "it was consensual all along" is kind of a reveal at the end) this fic it's very much focused on Rey's desire and her seeking out exactly what she wants from the start.
The story is about Rey's desire to consent to being raped. First she figures out what she wants, then she figures out how to get it, and then she gets it. And there's very little shame or judgement, which I love. She doesn't spend much time at all worrying that she's a bad person
for wanting to do this thing. She gets over it, figures out how she can make it happen, and then she's pissed when it doesn't go as she wishes (which, again, I LOVE, chapter two is just so good with showing her building frustration because yes yes yes she wants this so bad)
Ben is there to help her get what she wants, but he's also the responsible one. He insists on safe words when she says she doesn't want one (and he has his own), he arranges the location, and then he takes control (I've already alluded to chapter two, but yeah).
Selfishly I almost feel like Becca has custom written this to appeal to me because I'm just very into Rey wanting what she wants and Ben being there to help her get it with minimal shame. Even if - especially if - it's something objectively bad/evil/naughty.
So yeah I love this fic and I will be thinking about it and recommending it for a long time. Becca has done an incredible job writing a sensitive, thoughtful version of a setup that doesn't have to be written with such sensitivity. It's a great fic.
IT IS NOT COMPLETE at the time I write this we're at chapter three of five but it's very clear where the story is going and I would be shocked if there were any weird twists at this point, so I'm confident putting this out there now.
