hi! no ❤️

non-GMO means no modifications in the DNA level were made. It has nothing to do with synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, etc. EVERYTHING we eat today is genetically modified in some way. Crops we enjoy like watermelon, corn, etc. looked and tasted different in the past.
Through years of selective breeding, we've modified them to fit our needs and wants better. That's why you don't get seeds from your bananas anymore. "BUT UBE what about frankenfoods that have DNA from bacteria and other nasty organisms?"
Yes, sometimes scientists take traits from other organisms that may be seemingly strange for a regular person to put into livestock or crops but they do so TO IMPROVE THEM-- to increase nutritional value, to help them survive in unfavorable climactic conditions,
to give them pest resistance (so yknow, we could minimize pesticide use which you lot are so dang worried about). All these changes undergo strict regulations and will not be commercialized until they're safe. GMOs are safe. Stop being a Karen.
I wish some business people and advertisers would take at least one (1) science course. sigh.

Also, fuck corporate control of GMOs. The science should be for everybody ESPECIALLY the poor.
