(1/4) Mr. Bernier - My grandparents grew up under Soviet communism, a regime that deprived them of not only the property you allude to, but their freedom, dignity, and quality of life. It also massacred millions of innocent people. https://twitter.com/MaximeBernier/status/1277220665465151498
(2/4) My grandmother survived a genocide & lost 3 brothers to the Soviet secret police. My grandfather risked his life to peacefully fight communism & did so again to come to Canada to escape it.

(3/4) They loved Canada because unlike the communist regime they endured, Canada holds paramount people’s freedom and quality of life.

Peaceful protests for equality and the government spending you refer to to support Canadians in a time of great need are symptoms of just that.
(4/4) Don't insult my grandparents’ memory & that of millions who suffered & died under Soviet communism by ignorantly drawing false equivalence between communism & government in 🇨🇦.
When comparing life there & here, my grandmother used to call Canada a “paradise”. You should too
