Sunday, August 16th. We built a fire & laughed at someone getting stuck on the sandbar. Feeling very lucky to be doing all this with Ted - I think we can do it.

August 18th @ 8:52pm - a stormy firey sunset

Decided to take the kayak out after 8pm - risky - but was rewarded with this killer sunset from the water. August 23rd.

August 24th. I& #39;ve become mesmerized by the patterns of light across the water at the tail end of a sunset now. I wait for them and greet them like old friends when I get to see them. The colors speak to the very depths of my soul.

Hello September! I& #39;m both dreading & looking forward to the Fall. So much is going to happen in the next two months, I can feel it.

It stormed for two weeks straight basically & thankfully stopped in time for Melanie to visit. We enjoyed many sunset dinners outside with her, despite the cold (40° @ 7pm!!). A taste of winter already?? September 13-17ish ~~

I miss swimming. The flash of 70° temperatures have enticed me enough to go in, despite the water being bitterly cold. It& #39;s terrible for a few minutes but then I& #39;m reminded why I love being held in the embrace of a lake. Daylight is fading faster, I& #39;ll miss this. September 25th.

Gonna rip my guts out to pull this dock in & say goodbye to summer, to this place. Maybe that& #39;s where this thread ends? Spoilers: that& #39;ll be soon, cuz all the neighbors have started putting their shit away too. Stay tuned. September 26, in the year of the that was 2020
