The thing about racism is it doesn't just come from fear, but also perpetuates fear and distrust.

So if you're white and mad that BIPOC don't trust you or wanna talk with you as much "even though you're not racist", you're not the ally you think you are. You gotta earn that.
On a similar note, the BIPOC furry convention thing is a non-issue. If people want to organize something like that, let them.

Nobody said non-BIPOC couldn't attend, but even if they did, do you honestly think they don't deserve it considering the BS at all the other furry cons?
Put bluntly, even if you "aren't part of the problem" personally, if you're still part of the group that is, people affected by it deserve a safe space where they don't have to potentially be subjected to or reminded of it by your presence. It's called respecting boundaries.
Even if we remove race from the equation for a moment, if someone or a group of people have suffered great trauma at the hands of others to whom you bear resemblance, would you still force yourself upon them knowing the damage it could cause? Think about. That's all I got.
