In Barstool's world I'm nobody. Always stay out of their mud. I've done my small part with the site though for a decade now & been a fan for longer. I mixed it up in the comments when it was just Pres. I competed with (and lost to) KFC & Kmarko when NY was launched.
I was here before Big Cat came in and flipped the blog game on its head. I've watched an improbable growth to media juggernaut led by a core of hilarious, talented idiots. And I don't mean "idiots" as an insult, but how could they have been anything but?
Everyone started young & dumb with zero idea what they were capable of, how much a reach they'd have or how much they & the world they live in would change. Whether you like it or not lines were different then. They were irreverent, cavalier and shot from the hip relentlessly.
They've all hit, missed, & have things they've done that I'd guess make them cringe - just like every other human being. Matter of fact, it's gonna happen again - just like every other human being. Whether you're fan or foe we've all got a past of fucking up somehow.
That doesn't excuse ignorant behavior, but learning from it is being human. Everyone trying to "catch" them is just as "guilty" by their own definitions. Call them unfunny. Stupid. Assholes. That's fine - but malicious? Divisive? Genuinely hateful? Nah. That's just not true.
No idea what compelled me to type a Twitter novel & I'm certainly not here to argue or change anyone's mind. I guess if nothing else, I just wanted to show support for something I've been proud to ride the coattails of for so long.

Viva.
