I want to talk a bit about health anxiety because it& #39;s something I get constantly!

First of all, it& #39;s normal to worry about your health - so don& #39;t let people make you feel paranoid or silly for noticing a change in your body!

While you know your own body better than anyone, our brains have a habit of tricking us! For example, that lump in your throat feeling can suddenly become painful or suffocating once you notice it, even though nothing has changed!

This is due to a thing called hyperfixation
Our bodies can even create symptoms of conditions we don& #39;t have if we worry enough about it! This can even include mild pain

Now, that& #39;s not to say that every ache or feeling is our brain, sometimes we really do have something wrong! But let& #39;s try to think calmly and -
Rationalise to stop ourselves from having a panic attack!

Most symptoms you experience will not be from a serious condition and you will most likely be able to recover on your own! That& #39;s not to say serious and sudden ailments don& #39;t happen, they& #39;re just so rare -
that you& #39;d exhaust yourself worrying about them before they ever happen! The best thing to do is monitor your symptoms for change and take appropriate action once you& #39;ve established it& #39;s not a simple or common ailment. Most of all - stay calm!
Let& #39;s talk about health scares, like a missed period or finding a lump. These things are terrifying (I know first hand!)

Never be afraid to seek medical advice to reassure yourself when these things happen, theres no reason to be embarrassed either because -
Most people will experience a sensitive medical issue at some point in their lives - so we all understand!

Always remember, that no matter what happens, you& #39;ll be ok as long as you keep calm and take reasonable precautions

Similarly, don& #39;t be embarrassed to reach out to -
a friend if you& #39;re worried to get some advice or comfort - they may have had the same thing might have happened to them!
