To my @NATA1950 peers.... we receive our eBallots on 6/1 for next @NATA1950 President. Both @KathyIDieringer and @katieFlanAT have distinguished service + I personally have had many opportunities to interact with both over the years. Lot of AT& #39;s asking me who will I vote for?
I have known both Kathy and Katie for a long time and glad to have both on the ballot (AND in the AT profession!) This is hard because at the end of the day both are well qualified! Thanks @NATA1950 Board of Directors for selecting 2 outstanding candidates!
I ask you these questions
https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👇" title="Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten" aria-label="Emoji: Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten"> that I asked myself in who has my vote on 6/1 for @NATA1950 President and who is best qualified for our needs today as a profession as well as tomorrow& #39;s athletic trainers?
@KathyIDieringer OR @katieFlanAT
@KathyIDieringer OR @katieFlanAT
Just don& #39;t vote for @KathyIDieringer or @katieFlanAT b/c one of them is in your district or if you don& #39;t know them and making a random guess, or just asking "who are you voting for?"...if you are doing that then not helping our profession.
Watch NATA-sponsored candidate webinars, read candidate profiles to fully understand their stated vision + platform so that my vote is not just about me but best for the profession.
We need an NATA President who will continue to be a champion for diversity in and throughout the profession.
Secondary school AT& #39;s -- Which NATA presidential candidate has a proven track record of supporting 100% saturation in secondary schools?
We don& #39;t need an educator AT, industrial AT, high school AT, college AT, professional AT performing arts AT, or military AT. We are ALL #AT and need an Athletic Trainer who listens, who is responsive, who leads not by voice but by action.
@NATA1950 is a 45-55K membership organization (a BIG business) and need a leader with proven track-record of successful business leadership.
If you are an AT who either: A)laid off due to COVID-19, B) fearful of job loss, and/or C) know an AT under A or B above, then we need an NATA President who lives and breathes the business of healthcare to lead in developing sustainable practice models.
We need an AT who understands healthcare and what critical barriers to improve everyday employment issues across the AT practice setting spectrum.

We need an AT who fully understands third-party payor acceptance and the hurdles we need to overcome to be recognized in all 50 states.
On Day 1 our next NATA President must be able to walk into any room and be the expert to represent our profession.
