To everyone saying “oh you get offended about everything” re the Christopher Nolan Chair Thing:

Think about how this affects the people he works with. How it limits the *range* of people who can work with *him*.
Not allowing chairs on set bc of a draconian view of “work ethic” rules out:

Elderly actors
Disabled actors who don’t use wheelchairs
Actors who experience painful and debilitating periods

That’s already a big chunk of diversity straight-up GONE
And the young, fit, abled people who are left are still impacted negatively not only by the No Chairs Rule but also by the reasoning behind it. Whatever ppl do for work, they are negatively affected by suspicious, authoritarian, micromanaging employers. It’s bad for body & soul!
If you think that your employees are naturally lazy and won’t work unless they are driven to it by forced lack of rest ... you’re not a nice person to work with at all. I’ve had that employer, and it was soul-destroying (also back-and-knees-destroying)
Sorry y’all I forgot to put pregnant people in my list!!! I’m sure there are also more I’ve forgotten (ADHD) who would struggle or be unable to work on set without chairs and the ability to rest
