Welcome to Arsenal, our new club Physio, Bruno Mazziotti.

(THREAD)
Mazziotti started his football career in 2008, he joined Corinthians. He stayed there until 2015 before joining SD Luneng.

He joined PSG in 2018 which is where people really started taking note of his incredible work.
For those wondering, Bruno Mazziotti is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and English.
Mazziotti is highly rated highly by some of Brazil's finest players such as Neymar, Thiago Silva, Ronaldo Nazario, Alexandre Pato, Dani Alves and Marquinhos.

Mazziotti's role in getting Neymar fit for the 2018 World Cup is what really put him on the map & boosted his reputation.
Neymar's debut season at PSG ended prematurely as he broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot four months before World Cup 2018.

Neymar's rehabilitation went smoothly & he was ready for Brazil's opener against Switzerland (He played the full 90).

The Mazziotti effect.
Bruno Mazziotti, responsible for commanding the physical recovery of names like Ronaldo, Alexandre Pato and Renato Augusto. 3 players who were certain their careers would be over due to injury.
(1/2)- At the Corinthians training center, Mazziotti was notorious for physically recovering Alex Pato and Renato Augusto, who suffered from constant injuries in European football. On loan to São Paulo, Pato completed in 2015 with 26 goals, the best mark of his career...
(2/2)- while Augusto established himself as the best player in the Brazilian Championship that season.
Renato Augusto at the age of 26 was struggling with injuries/fitness so bad that he was considering retirement. Mazziotti spent a huge amount of time helping Renato with rehabilitation & getting him back to fitness. Mazziotti is the main reason Renato still plays football today.
In 2008, Ronaldo Nazario suffered a horrific knee injury while at AC Milan in which some thought his career would officially be over. A rupture to his kneecap ligament was found in his left knee. He was carried off in a stretcher with tears strolling down his face.
Teammate Clarence Seedorf on Ronaldo's injury, "My heart stopped beating because it was like watching a repeat of the injury he suffered playing for Inter Milan against Lazio [in 2000]."
Silvio Berlusconi told Italy's RAI TV, "He [Ronaldo] fears for his career. I called him last evening and told him to believe in himself. He has enormous physical potential."

Ronaldo was released by Milan at the end of the season, as his contract expired and was not renewed.
Ronaldo's AC Milan career was over, so he joined Corinthians

Usually a ruptured knee cap ligament would keep you out of action for 6-8 months.

It only took FOUR months for Ronaldo to recover and this was largely down to Bruno Mazziotti
Bruno Mazziotti in 2008: "We would normally expect him [Ronaldo] to be back running in September, but his recovery is going surprisingly well, and the tests have impressed the medical team. You’ll see Ronaldo running again in July.”
Ronaldo's progress was so good that he was told that there was no need to return to Paris for monthly checkups. The Brazilian superstar was told to continue his treatment in Rio de Janeiro under the guidance of Mazziotti.
Ronaldo scored 35 goals in 69 appearances for Corinthians. I would say that's pretty good for a guy who was told by the Italian doctors his career would be over.

This is just one great story of Bruno Mazziotti has helped an injury prone player. There are many more.
He's one of the best physio's in not just football, but in the whole of the sports industry. The way he has helped heal injuries for injury prone players is nothing short of incredible.

Arsenal have secured a world class physio in Bruno Mazziotti.
