***Short thread on how to deal w/John Roberts's SCOTUS tyranny***

1. Many know Marbury v. Madison (1803) established the doctrine of Judicial Review. Almost no non-lawyers know that the 2nd case of judicial review didn't occur until the Dred Scott case (1857). Why the 54-yr gap? https://twitter.com/michaeljknowles/status/1277706120052658176
2. The most important reason for the 54-yr gap is this:

Jefferson was so incensed at the tyrannical usurpation by the high court, that he targeted associate justice Samuel Chase (1 of the offenders in the M v M decision) & actively lobbied congress to impeach him!

3. Jefferson's retaliatiory action delivered the results: for over 5 decades, SCOTUS behaved.

This is how "separation of powers" & "checks & balances" is supposed to work.

Since then, we unfortunately have allowed the 9-member oligarchy to establish its tyrannical "supremacy."
4. It's clear that John Roberts will employ any sophistry, intellectual dishonesty or legal subterfuge in his reign of rank tyrannical abuse of the Constitution.

Or, to use the word Jefferson coined to describe M v. M: There's no "Twistification" he won't resort to.

5. Conclusion:

John Roberts must go.

But, in the immortal words of @realDonaldTrump: it must be done LEGALLY (as opposed to how they removed Scalia).

Trump should forge an alliance w/congressional constitutionalists & agitate for the impeachment of Chief Justice John Roberts.
6. Epilogue:

Samuel Chase wasn't ultimately removed from SCOTUS, but Jefferson's actions jolted the court into following its strict constitutional job.

Moral?

Impeaching Roberts will have an effectual impact on all 9 justices: they are not above the Constitution.

It's time.
7. "But Sam-we can't politicize the court!"

👉 It is already.

Once John Roberts is impeached, @realDonaldTrump can appoint an ACTUAL constitutionalist who isn't tyrannical/dirty/controlled opposition.

I'm tired of waiting for RBG to go. Let's get this done ourselves.
