WHO HAD THE BETTER RUN IN 2018?

For this post I want to look at both Kanye’s 5 album run and Drake’s non stop(pun intended) hits with his album scorpion. Arguably both of these artists were the best artists of 2018 with Travis.

The main focus of this post is to compare quality v.s. hits. Don’t get me wrong drake dropped a lot of good music in 2018 but Scorpion had a lot of fillers and was overall mid. Lastly Ye showed to have dropped quality with 2 of the 5 albums he dropped being possible AOTY.

Drake’s run in 2018 with the hits might be one of the best yet, he was on the top ten the entire year. So that brings me to the final question, when determine the artist of the year or who had the better year would we focus on quality or on the artists ability to make hits?
