What To Do About Prospects? - A Thread

Yesterday, @FriedgeHNIC shared the idea of a fall showcase for non-playoff teams. I'm a huge fan. Assuming teams could get to Europe, it'd be a great way to continue the Global Series and increase HRR with ticket sales and broadcast rights.
It's a win for the league, teams, players, advertisers and fans, but what about the AHL guys?

After chatting with a few scouts and GMs, here are some options:

1) Loan guys on ELCs to European teams.
2) Have regional prospect showcases, similar to rookie tournaments.
The European teams are planning to start their training camps in August as scheduled and have expressed an interest in utilizing import cards on good, young talent. (They don't want AHL vets.) I think it might be good for CHL guys coming out of their last junior year or...
... AHL players trying to earn full time NHL roster spots. I think it would be a particularly good opportunity for players like Zedina, Chytil, Kuokkanen, Seider, both Boqvists, Bratt... Even Hischier, Dahlin and Kakko, if their teams would be willing to loan them, because...
...they would not be subject to the import rule if they join a team in their respective home country.

The regional showcases would be just like the rookie showcases (which, BTW, have all been cancelled), but would include AHL vets as well. No fans in attendance, but...
... could generate revenue through regional broadcasts. They could have a week long training/development camp, similar to what they do over the summer and then come together in groups of 4-6 to battle it out for 3 games the next week.
Would fans tune in to watch prospects of NJD, NYI, NYR and PHI, for example, battle it out for three games each? I'm willing to say yes.

So what do you think? Would you tune in? Should players be loaned to Europe? Have another option you want to add to the list? Let's hear it!
