LONG THREAD: Part of the confusion/danger of our society is that everything is framed in *materialistic* terms. Both the "right" and the left in the US are materialistic. But, there is no Right apart from God, therefore we only have a Left and quasi-left in this country ...

... Put differently, either you rest your politics on God or not. Because the fake right denies God as *the* foundation of politics, it cannot resist the chaos & disorder that is a product of leftism. This is the false dichotomy we're caught in.

How to move forward?

... As a rule: the material is always subordinate to the spiritual. Jesus continually instructed His Disciples to focus themselves on the Kingdom of God--which was *not* of this world. He implored them to follow the Spirit of the Law, rather than the letter of the Law.

... In essence, Jesus was trying to teach them to follow high principles: the Spirit of Logos, rather than the legalisms of the cold-hearted Pharisees. Faith in Christ, plus the guidance of the Holy Spirit, should form the spiritual intuition we need to subordinate all actions...

It means that we should be purifying ourselves for spiritual conflict and challenge. It means ...

... speaking Truth and not lies. It means respecting the Natural Order. It means: fighting Evil with Light by embracing and being Good. It "taking up the Cross." What Jesus' enemies failed to understand was He ceded the material ground (the Temple and earthy empire)..

... for total and complete victory in the Spiritual realm. We live because He died. Satan had all the material levers of Power (the Roman Empire and all other kingdoms) and must have cheered as they arrested and tortured Him, but Satan lost and his fate was sealed at the Cross.

... Just as Satan tempted Jesus, so he tempts many Christians now to pour their energy and attention into "fixing" the material realm. To supporting this secular party or idea or another. But, the die is fixed; the (material) game is rigged.
