I’m gonna start a thread that’s going to either make us best friends or make us complete enemies.
Here’s my biggest hot take (that I genuinely believe) for each team in the NFL:
Here’s my biggest hot take (that I genuinely believe) for each team in the NFL:
Hot Take - AZ Cardinals:
Hopkins will finish outside of the top 5 WRs in every format. This offense is much busier than the one in Houston. He’s going to have big games, but less opportunity. Hopkins is more of a high-upside low-end WR1 for 2020.
Still a stud though.

Hot Take - ATL Falcons
Calvin Ridley will not finish as a top 20 WR. Stop pretending like Julio isn’t there. Stop pretending that Gurley and Hurst didn’t just show up.
He’s a great player, but the opportunity to produce is severely capped.
Sell high while hype is alive.

Hot Take - BAL Ravens
The Ravens won’t produce a single top 30 receiver. Hollywood will have his moments, but this isn’t a passing offense, and unless his name is Mark Andrews, it’s best to stay clear.
Oh, also, Jackson will have more fantasy points than Mahomes, again.

Hot Take - BUF Bills
Stefon Diggs will end the season as a low-end and very inconsistent WR2. There’s a lot going on in Buffalo this year, and although he should be the top receiver there, there won’t be enough to make him more than a weekly boom/bust option.
Weird offense.

Hot Take - Carolina Panthers
CMC will repeat as fantasy’s overall RB1. This really isn’t that spicy considering he already did this in 2018 and in 2019 in PPR leagues ending in week 16.
McCaffrey is a rare athlete that’s going to continue greatness. Do. Not. Trade. Him. Away.

Hot Take - CIN Bengals
Tyler Boyd most definitely does NOT finish above AJ Green in 2020. If Green is healthy, he’s an elite talent and you know it.
Also, Joe Burrow will not be a QB1.
These are not hot takes but many people are treating it like they are. Recency bias much?

Hot Take - CHI Bears
Allen Robinson finishes 2020 as a top 5 wide receiver. He’s too damn good and will see an absurd amount of usage for him not to perform well yet again.
Whether it’s Foles or Trubisky, Robinson is going to absolutely eat this season and I cannot wait!

Hot Take - CLE Browns
Nick Chubb doesn’t finish as an RB1.
Look at his usage when Hunt was active. Still decent right? Now, look at that consistency. He’s going to lose you just as many games as he’s going to win you in 2020.
I’m not taking him as my RB1 anywhere.

Hot Take - DAL Cowboys
Cooper, Gallup and Lamb combine for over 3,300 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns.
Cooper is currently projected as my WR9, Gallup as my WR18 and Lamb as my WR30.
Oh, and Blake Jarwin will finish as a top 10 tight end.
I want every part of this team.

Hot Take - Denver Broncos
Drew Lock will not finish as a top 20 quarterback. The hype on Lock has gotten out of hand.
That entire offense is young and it’s going to take a little while to figure it all out.
Say what you want, but that team’s passing stats was better w Flacco

Hot Take - DET Lions
D’Andre Swift will finish as a top 15 RB in PPR leagues. He’s the most complete back to enter the league this year and is on an offense that kicks ass when healthy. Even if KJ stays healthy, Swift should be in line for about 60% of the work.
Buy. Low. Now.

Hot Take - GB Packers
Aaron Jones will stay a top 5 running back.
AJ Dillon is not the threat you think he is. Jones is still getting the majority goal line work and the majority 3rd down work.
He’s literally Rodgers’ 2nd favorite target.
Jones will eat, again, in 2020.

Hot Take - HOU Texans
Duke Johnson becomes the steal of your fantasy draft. David Johnson has durability issues and could forfeit some playing time.
Even behind Hyde, Johnson was an RB3 in 2019.
Duke should see an expanded role in 2020, surpassing 83 attempts and 62 targets.

Hot Take - IND Colts
Jonathan Taylor is a low-end RB2 at best in 2020. He’s competing on the ground with Mack. He’s got little PPR upside because of Hines. He’s the only rookie on a three-headed RBBC.
Mack only has 1 year left under contract; they’re going to use him.

Hot Take - KC Chiefs
Damien Williams will be a solid RB3 option. He doesn’t have much time left with the Chiefs but he’ll be used plenty in 2020. CEH will receive the majority work, but Reid wont forget about the running back that essentially won him his first SB.
Draft steal.

Hot Take - LV Raiders
Darren Waller stays a top 5 TE. This may not be too much of a hot take, but I know his status for 2020 is controversial for some. I don’t believe there’s going to be a ton of fantasy excitement out of Vegas this year so let’s just take what we can get here.

Hot Take - LA Chargers
Keenan Allen finishes outside of the top 20 receivers. There’s going to be some growing pains on offense this year, particularly in the outside receiving game.
Nothing against Allen, but it’s going to be hard to produce significant numbers with TT or JH.

Hot Take - LA Rams
Kupp, Woods and Higbee all finish top 15 in their respective positions.
It’s no secret that the receiving weapons on this team can be a fantasy goldmine. Now that Cooks is out of LA, expect a bump (or at least continued success) to these three guys.

Hot Take - JAX Jaguars
Leonard Fournette stays in the top ten for running backs. Hell, he’s got top three upside.
He’s going to be ran into the ground in his final year with Jacksonville. The opportunity will be there, and his target volume isnt falling as hard as people think.

Hot Take - MIA Dolphins
DaVante Parker will repeat as a top 15 wide receiver.
Sure his production was better without Preston Williams, but his production was only “bad” the first three weeks of 2019.
We’ve been waiting for years for him to breakout. Well he did, and he’s here.

Hot Take - MIN Vikings
I’ve got nothing.
No seriously, I have zero hot takes for this team.
Dalvin Cook will be there week one, Thielen will be at least a borderline WR1, Cousins will be serviceable when needed, and Jefferson has a chance to be an upside WR3.
Nothing spicy.

Hot Take - NE Patriots
The patriots will be THE most disappointing fantasy team in the NFL this year.
I said what I said, I’ll leave it at that.

Hot Take - NO Saints
I think Emmanuel Sanders can continue on being a top 30 fantasy receiver.
I can see some consistency issues playing behind MT, but Sanders should have enough big games in 2020 to grab a top 30 finish.
An ADP in the 9th round is a steal for a guy like him.

Hot Take - NY Giants
Barkley will finish outside of the top 5, even without injury.
He’s a stud but I genuinely think he peaked his rookie year. Plus, having Jones and a competent receiving corps bumps down his usage.
He’s still a top 3 pick, but not a lock to finish there.
