I've been thinking about Abraham Lincoln. Well, mostly about his hat. Because that's one of the first things you think about when you picture him, right? The stovepipe hat.

But what if he hated it? What if Lincoln hated his hat?

What if he wore that hat because it was gift from his mother-in-law so he could hardly throw it away, and even though it made him seem even taller and more gangly his wife was all "why don't you wear that hat my mother gave you?" and he'd groan and go out in the hat.

And now he will forever be shown wearing that blasted hat that he only wore for peace in the house but absolutely hated. A hated hat for all eternity.

That's been in my head all day. Which is at least better than having something I don't like on my head forever.
