Everyone claiming it's a "joke" or "overblown" or that I'm a terrible person:

Even if it was a "joke", it's still ableist and harmful. Equating sitting with laziness is bad.

Also, this anti chair thing on sets is SYSTEMIC. It is a real problem and legit barrier for folks.

Today it's Nolan's name attached to this issue, but it's so many folks in charge of sets. It's built into the on-set culture, and it's something we absolutely have to reckon with as an industry.

You can like his movies. But this conversation is valid, no matter how good the art.
