I'll be sharing production work for #TheLastofUsPartII
here & elsewhere over the next week or so! The work I've contributed spans seven years, starting from my earliest days @Naughty_Dog. It's been a wild ride. [Art Thread]

Early exploration of Ellie's "Hero" hair ("Hero" referred to the look w/ most play in the game- Seattle). The face appears to change dramatically due to the way the various styles frame the features. Keeping the part & open forehead was important in maintaining likeness. #TLOU2

While the Director continued to iterate on early drafts of the story, I explored small moments of Ellie as a teen on the cusp of adulthood. At this stage we were playing w/ a longer hairstyle for Ellie, as well as a canine companion. #TLOU2

Speaking of dog, here are some additional concepts exploring what this character might have looked like. I think they were pretty cute!

One final piece of Ellie for today. #TheLastofUsPartll
These were done very early on in pre-production. Some of these options were much too loose, but we knew we wanted to put Ellie in over-sized clothing- a challenge from a tech standpoint. @wasim_cg & his TD team made these boxier, unique silhouettes possible.
Developing the costumes & ritual lifestyle of the Seraphites was a long iterative process. This group shunned the "old world" (pre-outbreak) and it's artifacts, cultivating a community founded on minimalism and strict law. #TheLastofUsPartII
