getting rid of the narrative that summer walker is xenophobic, a thread :

For starters let’s look at what it means to be xenophobic:

Summer Walker has never been “abnormally hostile” towards a group of people based on their ethnicity. She has absolutely ZERO track record or patterns of having hate towards Asians.

Earlier this year , as growing concerns over the infamous Coronavirus arose , many people begin to come up with theories and think pieces to voice their opinions on a disease our government couldn’t tell us too much about at the time .. info on the virus was scarce and screwed.

Summer walker posted a video from @domislivenews where the title somewhat correlated chinese people to the intentional spread of the virus in China. She captioned it with “Thats some trifling and nasty ass shit” many ppl were under the impression that this was aimed at Asians.

As a fan I can say that I disagree with summer giving @domislivenews’ video more attention in a time where Asian people were already facing uncalled for discrimination. HOWEVER that does not take away from the fact that her response to the video wasn’t aimed towards asian ppl.

After being made aware that the video was old , summer clarified the purpose of her statement , revealing her very GENERAL concern for the acts displayed in the video.

Another user pointed out the fact that things like this happen in America as well in which summer ONCE AGAIN made it clear that despite the people in the video being asian . In her opinion it was overall disgusting in which tf it was !

Another receipt from her finsta/spam acc where she again goes out of her way to ensure her following that her statement had nothing to do with race and was more so criticism of people’s morals rather.

SO NOW... not saying 2 wrongs make a right ..but why do y’all feel so comfortable cancelling black ppl when (non black) race sensitive things may be at hand but y’all hesitate to address your WHITE faves and yt people in general when they do way worse ?? It’s all too common

in conclusion SW is not xenophobic. Just say you don’t like her and move on y’all jump on bandwagon hate agendas on this app everyday bcuz you don’t have a mind of your OWN and it shows. Maybe try to look into things before ur tail gets to waggin at someone blk bein cancelled

& yes she may have some questionable conspiracy theories that she shares but so WHAT? They are almost always harmless. Yet y’all run to he insta to screenshot and post on here, tryna get a viral tweet off of calling her a dummy or an air head bcuz AGAIN y’all are 1 track minded
