the reason radical organization hasn’t seen any progress in the US over the last decade — much less the last 75 years of communist party building generally — has less to do with mccarthyism and more to do with the fact that y’all forget the “mass economic struggle” bit of marxism
and reduce the fight against fascism to useless struggles w employers over capitalist fabrications like wages

its not enough to boycott and defund, you must also *divest*

you must build systems of dual power that allow the people to liberate themselves for the bondage of money
the socialist argument against capitalism isn’t that it makes us poor, poverty is a capitalist fabrication

the socialist argument against capitalism is that it makes us unfree

w/o this base understanding, the goal of revolutionary movement becomes obfuscated with accumulation
and i find that the biggest issue among the revolutionary left in the US is the evolution of capital as not only a relationship between individual socialists, but a source of revolutionary praxis within our organizations.

but that’s a conversation for a different thread.
boycotting walmart doesn’t matter if you don’t build urban farms and food banks.

boycotting big banks doesn’t matter if you don’t build anti-capitalist peer-to-peer financial services.

boycotting landlords doesn’t matter if you don’t build land trusts and communal housing
boycotting the established order doesn’t matter if you don’t build sustainable, revolutionary alternatives

and we will have to keep marching and rioting bc we haven’t had the political courage to begin building the systems and organizations that will allow us to take power back
“[We]... are definitely in the lead in making practical use of reforms... in the direct...“day-to-day” activity of agitation, organization... painstakingly developing every step beyond reformism in propaganda, agitation, 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞, 𝐞𝐭𝐜”

-Lenin
The biggest thing missing on the revolutionary US left today isnt popular support, resources— we have the people, we have the money — what’s missing is *purposeful* organization caused by petty divisions in tendency.
We have a million different orgs with a million different tendencies working on a million different projects when what we really need — and should work toward building — is a singular, principled, and dialectical cadre with a singular, principled, and dialectical mission.
the principled among us are not divide along lines of interest, we’re divided along line of tendency.

and these petty divisions can be over come by united under the banner of a conscious revolutionary paradigm,
