In the episode the study group play D&D, and Chang is cosplaying is player character - a drow, which is an elf with jet black skin and usually silver or black hair. He& #39;s even wearing a white wig. It& #39;s oddly specific to be lumped in with other instances of blackface. 2/
This isn& #39;t a hill I& #39;m willing to die on or anything, and I& #39;m willing to have my mind changed on this, but at first glance this is similar to putting a ban on Charlie Chaplin movies because Hitler had a moustache like that too. 3/End

Consider my mind changed. An old gaming acquaintance of mine sent me a rather long email detail the history of drow, both within D&D and the actual Norse mythological origins and yeah, I can see now how drow cosplay = blackface. 4/
