I did not try to bully anyone. I expressed concern regarding the initiative itself and urged people to see that the harm outweighs the cost. I acknowledged that I understood the creator's well-meaning intent. (1/n)

The phrasing of my (now-deleted) tweets was clear that I wasn't attacking anyone.

As a WOC who's been here for 5 years, I've had so many people apologize to my face, only to block me after. W/c is why when I learned that he blocked me after his public apology, I thought he (2/n)

was being insincere. I wasn't going to say anything publicly until I learned that he blocked other POC. To me, that was a huge red flag.

I'm not here to fight or to bully anyone. I'm not even dropping names the way he's dropped my name in his thread.

I'll admit that I don't know him well enough to know what his intentions are. Clearly, I misread the situation and I apologize for that.

Mainly, I just want people to be aware that blocking POC after getting called out is not the best look. I'm disengaging & moving on. (4/4)
