In Acts Paul was being persecuted and put on trial for nothing other than believing in Christ and his resurrection. This brought to mind just a few verses that are an encouragement to followers of Jesus to press on in righteousness even though the world may hate you for it.
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
John 15:18-19
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets.
Luke 6:22-23
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Matthew 5:44

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
2 Timothy 3:12
For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake,
Philippians 1:29
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
Matthew 5:10-11
& remember that in Proverbs 28:1 it says the righteous are as bold as lions! We can be courageous, bold, & content in persecution & insults. Bc we know that Christ is our strength & the Holy Spirirt will empower us& give us the grace we need to stand firm for the name of Christ!
