i get why it’s an issue and how americans *should* have a better understanding of world issues/relations but tbqh the everyday citizen is literally fighting to stay alive n keep a roof over their heads bc our govt couldn’t give not 1 fuck about us. ur enemy is politicians.

however i do agree, we are a self centered country that doesn’t pay nearly enough attention to the rest of the worlds issues but thats mainly bc we ironically only focus on our own shitshow of a country (n exploiting others for unethical capitalistic gain) it’s really that simple
