My heart was leaping the whole time I was reading this thread xD This is why you can't help the NEED to rewatch TharnType. I usually thrive for poetic and metaphoric lines in shows, but TT's REALISM-SYMBOLISM structure of their dialogues destroyed my single-minded preference, https://twitter.com/raikantopinisms/status/1277240558977572864
they made this commonly boring concept become so stunning and powerful, you'll go "oh sht...realization" from one dialogue to another, and another, it just goes on. Impact to impact as the scenes unfold. Now that u mentioned it, it seems like their 'good dialogue' is what made-
the series became so compelling and impactful....the dialogue is what keeps u going as a viewer. It also proved that even a few and simple words, when well-placed and well-timed, can have the same, if not more, impact than long lines with complex words.
I'm thinking that people who call TT problematic don't really like dialogue-heavy scenes, although, tbh, even if you're not one, tharntype will make u appreciate it bcs it's the MAIN driving force of the story, you'll just naturally pay attention to it as u knowingly/unknowingly-
realize that almost every word they say drives all aspects of the show- the character dev't, the themes, and the unfolding and connections of each scene. Really impressive how they are able to make every line matter to the story, and yet it doesnt make u feel that the fast pacing
is overwhelming or too much...bcs as u implied, it was laid out so well. But it really needs u to pay attention to the words, and now I get why the series is so misunderstood by many. Alot of ppl who watch bl series just like to be entertained and just absorb the visual info as
how it is. They don't like 'analyzing' stuffs in series, and so in that way TharnType is different from other bls bcs it compels you to think. Another point for TT then, is it makes this 'analyzing' interesting. Somehow, it makes paying attention to details become more thrilling
and that's bcs there's really alot to analyze and draw meaning from, especially with what they say. The usually normal words have much more weight in their dialogues bcs of how they are intimately related to the characters and the plot. To put it into context, instead of reacting
like, "oh that's what he said, okay got it. NEXT cute scene PLS" like how u are with most dialogues in bl series, you'd instead react like, "he said that...but why? Oh cuz this scene happened"/ "is it bcs of how Type/Tharn's character is?"/ "will something happen in the future?"
eventually, you'll be attached to the story, not bcs u accept everything that they say or show, but bcs you are able to understand how the story goes, and how the characters develop. It adds to the realism concept of the series. Their lines will enable u to relate with the issues
being tackled and with the thought process of each character because of how their dialogues play out. You're not just relying on the dialogues for some cheesy lines or to meet your EXPECTATIONS, but you're paying attention to it bcs of how it is heavily involved with everything
about the story. Mann, even their flirty lines are important to the plot buildup lol. So yeah, indeed, TharnType delivered bcs of their dialogues.

And just to emphasize again, props to the actors' acting for making these dialogues come to life. Without their skillful acting,
these impactful dialogues wouldnt have much effect still. Delivery is still the key to maximize the effect of the good flow of their dialogues.

Anyways, this thread made me want to rewatch the series again, so imma do it now 😆 thank u for this inspirational content lmao
