One of the many things I’ve learned from Unschooling is people do not really know how children naturally act, only how they act as a result of schooling.
Many things people told me would happen if I let the kids unschool, the exact opposite thing has happened.
For example, I was told if I the kids unschooled they wouldn’t do anything.

That turned out to be false. They are some of the most driven people I have ever met, especially for their age. The thing is, they are driven by their own goals - not goals assigned to them.
I was told if I didn’t send the kids to school they would be socially awkward.
The perfect example of how wrong the socialization myth is to me is Daughter’s Girl Scout troop. It’s mixed homeschoolers and schoolers.

There is no way to tell which girl is homeschooled and which goes to school. They blend in seamlessly.
