hey art babies, you know the saying "the brushes/ settings don't matter..." take it with a grain of salt

i used to preach this too. But hunny, I've learned that sometimes the brushes you use really do matter. A game-changer even lol
this is coming from someone who used default brushes for years, (the only time I used custom brushes was for my thesis lol) and finally experimented with other brushes in this year of our lord 2020

quality of life improved after that, i assure you
So! I'm going to share these nice brushes I found for ClipStudio Paint: (free, but please donate if you can!)

This lovely pencil brush (which works with direction/ tilt depending on your tablet) by Ron Chan https://gumroad.com/l/KMpYy
This Gouache Set by @/roastedstix has been really fun to use for painting (and these are what I use to add the texture on my food art lol)

(give bryan a follow too, they make great environment art and animation!!!)
I don't use Photoshop for drawing anymore (I solely use it for post-prod effects these days) but @/Yuumei_Art's Cloud brushes have made a long way for me then~

https://www.yuumeiart.com/cloud-tutorials  (the file link is somewhere in there, and this is a great tutorial nonetheless)
btw don't get it twisted! the brushes arent substitutes to fundamentals. it should be treated as a complement/ enhancement. theres no blueprint on how to make a line with the brushes as theyre a resource used according to your knowledge/skill
any artist who treats it like a classified trade secret is being disingenuous & self-absorbed ;)

(bato bato sa langit, ang matamaan wag magalit lol)
