When I watch GY and KGE, my heart warms. I feel that the love and respect they have for each other is borne out of pure affection and mutual admiration between 2 artists. They are alike in so many ways: public-shy, totally craft-driven, uncomfortable with fame.
The mentoring affection GY has for KGE is strong, as if he appointed himself her actual guardian in this cutthroat industry. I can imagine her asking him for advice or comfort on anything related to her journey as an actor. Probably why they remain close today.
Even the way bicker and show affection on set bts, is so clearly filial/like family. They& #39;re so comfortable, there& #39;s no awkwardness, they tease each other freely for the fans, they& #39;re absolutely relaxed around each other. They act like friends with nothing to hide.
Now the vibe between LMH and KGE -- is completely different. And you don& #39;t have to be a shipper to get it. There& #39;s an undeniable tension between them when they& #39;re just looking or talking or playing in between takes. It& #39;s like watching 2 people go on the longest first date ever.
You pick up on that energy because they& #39;re on equal footing as adults. There& #39;s no other distracting dynamic, you see them as just a man and a woman.
For me, their biggest tell is not when LMH looks giddy/smitten/shy or not when KGE is giggling/hitting him everywhere (behavior which have all been recorded many times onset and during interviews). But the air of caution that you sense when they& #39;re just having a quiet moment.
There& #39;s an awkwardness,a subtle tension that only shows in their bts footage. They& #39;re fascinated with each other, I think. And I think that& #39;s what drives LMH& #39;s interest. More than just attracted, I think he& #39;s curious & fascinated by KGE as an actor, as a woman, as a star.
And it makes sense.They& #39;re coming frm different sides of the showbiz spectrum. KGE is a "quiet star". She isn& #39;t big on celebrity, she& #39;s brilliant and known for it yet stays so grounded.She can glam like nobody& #39;s business, yet seems adamant to keep her life as normal as possible.
LMH on the other hand is already a constellation. And KGE is an admitted KimTan fan. My delulu mind thinks that: LMH must be a little envious of KGE because with her he can be a little more low-key. KGE must be so astonished by the noise surrounding LMH all the time.

Much has been said about body language. This is my observation: KGE has a tendency to pull away quickly or make a joke out of any touchy behavior from LMH. LMH meanwhile has a tendency to "be careful" like he& #39;ll reach out and give her a look but then it will be very brief.
LMH doesn& #39;t usually linger unless it& #39;s those seconds just before or after a take ("cut!"). It& #39;s a little too careful, which is another source of the unspoken tension.
People with nothing to hide are the ones whose guards are lowered the most.
People who have their guards up however, are those with something to conceal. And that adds a layer of tension to the drynamic between 2 people.
