Mauricio continuously made advances towards me. I shut them down each time. One day he told me he got a boner in class because I sat next to him. He knew I was in a serious relationship at the time. He would call Jess a “clingy bitch” and always asked me how to break up w/ her —
On March 15, we were studying. He knew I had just gotten dumped and was vulnerable. He held me down and had aggressive sex with me w/o my consent. I kept saying no and tried to stop him. I told him to “think about Jess” and how hurt she would feel —
I was in a lot of pain, and started crying during. I told him to use protection multiple times and he refused. Before he left my apartment, he threatened me & told me not to tell anyone. He said his reputation in NAK would get ruined and his gf would “come find me & fight me” —
After I processed the incident, I decided to tell Jess what had happened, in hopes of warning her of what type of person she was dating. So, I dm’ed her. She left me on seen. Five hours later, Mauricio sent me a long, nasty message on Facebook Messenger —
He called me the “worst mistake of his life” & that I “painted him out to be a monster,” among other horrible things. He said that he already told her days after it happened. He also told me to never contact either of them again, and that they were happy together —
Mauricio is a RAPIST and a CHEATER. His DAD and his GF know this, and CONTINUE TO SUPPORT HIM. He needs to face the consequences. Students at UCR, both male and female, need to be aware of the values of MAURICIO VALDEZ JR. and anyone who supports his decisions —
I would like to highlight that THIS is why women are scared to share their story. I shared my story. In return, I received threats and a horrible message from him. To this day, I feel unsafe, scared and I am trying to heal/recover. FUCK YOU MAURICIO VALDEZ JR.
