speak your truth but don’t engage back and forth with those whose ears are closed.

most times i choose not to engage at all but when i do, i make sure i speak but don’t engage. i say what i say. i don’t debate or argue and i close the door. it’s like “i said what i said. end of conversation. argue with yourself.”

people like to argue. they like to converse. they like to feel control and power and i deny them that. i deny them access to my interaction and energy. when i cut someone off, i day what i say. nothing to debate. nothing to work out. it’s done bc i said so
