This is my last comment on it. But if you're going to make a closed species like annies on deviantART, don't profit off with the lore that cute anime girls are enslaved, abused, groomed. Then don't try to justify it because 'vikings enslaved people.'

You cannot act like you care about black people, rt BLM posts, then hide a black artist' comment how messed up you are for profiting off slavery, miss yamio. Especially considering that your closed species group is accessible for teenagers, some how have spent money on you.

This is the only screenshot I will keep up, but this is the most infuriating thing I've ever read to justify a slavery journal / lore for a closed species you make income from.

Just because slavery has happened across the world doesn't mean it was cool of you to silence BPOC.

If you want to talk about your family heritage? Cool cool. Feel free to, sometimes it help heals what generational trauma your family has felt.

What's not OK is profiting off, ignoring black people's concerns, and still having this accessible to minors.

BTW****** Slavery did not ended for black people. Black people are still being enslaved in the prison systems. They are still being killed and murdered not only in the Americas, but in Europe and Australia.

I've been made aware that not a lot of people in the annieverse community is even aware of the slavery journal and how twisted it is that Yamio is profiting off annies while this journal exists.

Please if you know someone who is part of the community, make sure they are aware

I'm coming over here, but if you take up Yamio's update as a whoopsie and you forgive her while you are not //black//.. Do not. Accepting her faulty apology when it was not meant for you not only is inappropriate, but it continues to silence those who were actually hurt.

This is another reminder that this journal has stayed up since 2018. Yamio was called out nearly 2 years ago for this journal by @/ffLXXXVIII. She as well as other mods decided to speak over megas, despite him being black.

Yamio making no efforts to change the journal or delete it at all these past 2 years is very telling. The fact she only makes an announcement to justify the journal in the middle of a movement where black people are being KILLED, should indicate her values.

I unfortunately do not have the other comments as yamio has hidden them all on the original journal.

I'm glad a lot more people are realizing partaking in this species is really harmful. I hope this helps.

I am currently in contact with Yamio (and a mod (?)) and it seems like Yamio is struggling to see an issue with why any of this is a problem. She is insisting that she is open for discussion but I'm failing to see this as she is continuing to justify the journal.

I'm coming over here to note that although Yamio had volunteered to delete the journal due to my complaints, she has yet to apologize to the original black artist who called her out. Additionally, I have yet to see any public apology to the community besides her discord server.

Additionally, the mods who have argued / attacked the original black artist that brought attention to the slavery journal have yet to apologize either to them.

I do not intend to delete this thread at all.
