In the same way that it is said that the Trump presidency has politically polarized every corner of discourse in America, it is clear that these national protests — largely attributed to BLM — are racially polarizing every corner of our nation as well.
Before I say anything else, I should say that it would be difficult to find a person who wants effective police reform and genuine racial equality and justice in America, more than me. I’ve been a victim of extreme racism and police brutality many times in my life.
I am, of course, preempting the predictable rebuttal from the cleverest of those who don’t want voices like mine represented. They will say “even if what you’re saying is true, it is innapropriate to try to distract from the anti-racism movement in this way.”
Though this retort was designed specifically to silence anyone who disagrees with the main narrative, (I’ve seen it used in ways & places I happened to agree with) I’m afraid that unless people at large start thinking about the issues I am trying to bring up, there won’t be a>>
Movement or narrative left worth protecting.
In observing the current zeitgeist, I’m seeing trends & ideas that I believe are going to undermine our collective ability to bring these noble goals to fruition. Half of the people are blind to these trends; completely unaware they’re aiding & abetting hateful machinations.
The other faction are a part of the creation, maintenance, distribution and cultural canonization of these trends and ideas, and they are actively busy keeping the rest of us blinded to those designs.

There is a Booker T. Washington quote circulating social media right now:
“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles...
they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”
On the one hand, if the events of the past years have demonstrated anything, it’s that the grievances of PoC (people of color) in America arent just some opportunistic fetish as Washington implied here. There are real, unaddressed issues that shouldn’t be let go until resolved.
On the other hand, that “class” of Black people Washington referred to, who make a business of keeping their hardships in the public eye — are also real, & have likewise gone unaddressed — to calamitous effect.

The fruits of their desperation to maintain the victimhood status>>
of PoC has seeped their way into academia & mass media: Implicit Bias, Intersectionality, Critical Race Theory, White Privilege, White Fragility — even amending the definition of racism to align better with their agenda — these concepts are fallacious, insidious, & ill conceived.
These concepts are becoming the lifeblood of extremely disturbing & twisted ideas, which are in turn creating extremely disturbed & twisted people out of those who believe them.

If unaddressed, these concepts will likely result in the collapse of racial relations in America.
I’m hearing from white friends about loads of people they’ve known for their entire lives, who were never racist before, suddenly radicalized & identifying as white nationalists after feeling under attack by rampant “all whites are inherently racist”, implicit bias rhetoric.
I’m seeing black friends (& family) who never cared about race issues, suddenly spending their days saying disparaging & racist things against white people & embracing the most revisionist, anti-historical narratives about the history of slavery & racism possible to concoct.
This is important. Black people at large are embracing conspiracy theories as revealed truths, & it’s no longer a fringe phenomenon. It would be difficult to find a Black person in America who hasn’t integrated at least one of these conspiracy theories into their worldview.
We are talking about conspiracy theories with the same pernicious caliber of paranoid delusion, prophecy, grievance, messianic overtones, & ping-ponging back & forth between a fear of their own impending genocide, & a lust to bring genocide to their enemy, which has sustained,>>
The most worrisome factions of alt-right, white nationalist, white supremicist, white power, & white pride organizations. In the same way that the “intellectual” foundation of these movements is vouchsafed by the open-sourced conspiracy “think-tanks” of Q-anon, white extinction>>
Pizzagate, Agenda 21, and North American Union (just to name a few of the more prominent wellsprings of alt-right inspiration) many of the foundational claims, tenets, and grievances of the current Anti-racism movement are founded in lies, inaccuracies, and conspiracies.
It’s not just that lies, inaccuracies & conspiracies are guaranteed to one day doom the legitimacy of any movement founded in such. It’s about who we become when we allow ourselves to be the type of people who consent to being uncritical thralls & henchmen of nonsense.
We need white people to refuse to allow anyone to tell them they are inherently racist, & PoC who will stand against anyone who says such. We need white people who won’t sheepishly acquiesce to being told PoC can’t be racist, and PoC who condemn that acquiescence & that lie.
These historical, ideological, & philosophical concessions being made by white people are setting the stage for PoC to be completely immersed in these conspiracies: to become completely disconnected from the reality of the situation. That’s a nightmare scenario for all parties.
What do you think the combined message of Intersectionality, Critical Race Theory, BLM, disproportionate PoC police brutality, Implicit Bias, White Privilege, & declaring racism as an exclusively white phenomenon coalesces & registers as in the mind of PoC who believe them all?
You’re telling PoC they’re trapped in a system that was created to keep them under constant siege, where the white population is their natural enemy, where PoC are inherently morally superior to whites because PoC are incapable of racism. Where — despite the “fact” PoC>
Are blameless victims possessing superior moral fiber and virtue; communities of PoC are still economically disenfranchised and moored up to the neck in violence & poverty. What do you think the reaction to believing this will ultimately be?
