Paraphilia. It is a disordered form of attraction. It is parasitism. It is beneficial to one party, the one who abuses. It causes suffering. It is inflicted upon those without a voice, those without the mental capacity to consent

I think people throw the term pedophile around or use the word “MAP” because they don’t realize that terminology is meant to sugar coat a genuine sickness. Yes I’ve used the term MAP, and I was sure to include it when I said not to interact with me for those who aren’t educated-

On the fact that MAPS and NOMAPS = pedos.
Now. I see people throw the term pedophile around regularly to men who are predatory. Don’t get me wrong, their actions are vile. It should never be taken lightly if a man is grooming or soliciting a minor. That goes for any age gap-

Relationship with a minor or nonconsenting adult involved. << I am talking about those who are disabled.
I just wanted to put this out here. Because a predator, for example, an 18 year old trying to lure a 14 year old, isn’t always the same as a pedophile.

This is an illness. A recurring, sometimes intrusive, violent and disgusting, selfish illness. You are not virtuous, you are not good or worthy if you are a pedophile. To be a pedophile is to have constant sexual urges that will undoubtedly cause a child harm.

I just needed to put this out here because this is far more serious than you think. I don’t know if you realize how important it is that these people get treated professionally rather than jailed for living out their fantasies. Questionable age gaps and predatory behavior does-

-not always equal pedophilia. To be a pedophile, is to be a truly corrupt and vile individual, one usually incapable of empathy or remorse. To be a pedophile is to fantasize constantly and groom strategically and repeatedly when preying upon a victim, a child that is helpless.
