ok, i’m back. now, just a couple of policies, national and state-wide on police misconduct and accountability measures for police, and other systems.
breonna taylor, 26 years old, at this point, the entire country should know her story. 106 days later, only one of her killers has lost his job. the other two are still employed by the louisville police department.
we could paint these streets yellow over and over, that does not make the the wizard of oz any more real. the systems, policies, frameworks, and mindsets in this country have been geared towards violence against black folk for centuries. it’s more than a netflix category y’all.
