➳ thread : a theory on why genjibu's latest notice is a connection to their other songs ☆
let's focus on this part first. it was uttered by Prince Hamlet in one of William Shakespeare's play called "Hamlet"
In this line, to put it simply, Hamlet was literally asking whether we people, should exist or not and in Shikou Ni Kansuru Yoron Chousa, during the pre-chorus, the lyrics goes "There's always two choices... Live or die..."
In the next line, let's focus on the "the slings of arrows". The meaning is harsh criticism, judgements or personal attacks.
Now, look at the translation of the rephrased lyrics for Uso Kara Hajimaru Jishoukei, in this song, they were talking about struggles to live, all the judgements that they got on how should they be.
Some parts also happened to connect with the message from what Hamlet in the play wanted to say. Hamlet wondered if it's better to put up with the bad things in life than to run off into death (suicide,,)
[this one is copied from a website of a summary for the play]

His problem is that he doesn't want to keep on living when he is super depressed about his uncle killing his dad and marrying his mom, but he doesn't know what death will bring and that's scary, too.
Umm, let's see. The connection is, is suicide really the answer?
[Hamlet]
Should I exist? Or should I not?

[Genjibu]
There's always two choices,
Live or Die?
Hamlet was seriously considering those options about life and death, and what it means to live anymore with all the things going on, and so does Genjibu in their two songs "Shikou ni Kansuru Yoron Chousa" and "Uso Kara Hajimaru Jishoukei".
The date stated on the notice is on July 12. Kaname was born on July 12. Wanna know something? Guess who sang the "Live or Die" part in Shikou Ni Kansuru Yoron Chousa? It was Kaname.
And oh, it was also Masaya in the second one (who sang Live or Die). Another coincidence is, Masaya sang the lyrics in Uso Kara Hajimaru Jishoukei, and the line goes something like "Thoughts, struggles, confusion."
From my perspective, the ones who are struggling to live right now are Kaname and Masaya.
For some reasons, I think it made sense even more with Kaname since July 12 is his birthday, and he loves William Shakespeare.
