You know how you go outside to pack your clothes after doing the laundry and while carrying the heap of clothes, a handkerchief falls down.
As you try to squat to pick it up, some more clothes fall.
While trying to pick those up, the entire heap eventually falls to the ground.
That's how living in this country with no health insurance feels.

As you're fixing one issue, you or a family member is hit with another one you didn't plan for.

It's unpredictable.

It's like looking both ways before crossing the street only to get hit by an airplane.
Which is why if you can afford it, health insurance is something every adult should have.
Paying hospital bills out of pocket is expensive.

It's always painful seeing working class Nigerians with decent jobs who don't have health insurance.
