THREAD: What should you do before sharing an article on social networks

1. Someone shared an article with a catchy title on my timeline. Should I directly click the share button? NO!
2. Open the article and read the article. Not just the first 2 lines.
3. Who published the article? Is it a reliable source?
4. Is this article the initial report? Is it based on another article or a technical report? If yes, find it and read it.
5. This article is interesting and it is worth a share, how can I share it? 2 options:
- You share, with or without comment, the post you saw initially
- You share the article in a new post with a description.
The description should be a general comment about the article or his quality. Let your followers make up their own minds.
You see the problem? Social networks are based on engagement: the more you are active, the better is it for them. This is why everything is made to trigger an immediate response from you.
So please, before sharing something don’t immediately click the share button. Wait, think, go through this process and then share it
