i've continued it though, and he still hasn't said in what way gender critical theory can explain the world better than queer theory, but i guess i'll see if he ever does.

he's misconstrued multiple points of the debate so far

for example, during the debate, in talking of "social constructs" he attempted to use "the fossil record" as like... a counter, to which your response was essentially "but that's a physical thing we can look at"....

and he reframed that interaction as "i brought up the fossil record, and vaush said "but that's real" like, does he think sex based oppression isn't real???"

it's been a bizarre watch so far.

he starts off within the first like 5 minutes misunderstanding what gender theory says about gender nonconforming people, he cant explain it. he thinks that gender theory says "if you identify as a woman you suddenly experience all of the oppression that all other women face"
