Crazy new wildfire burning in Lehi, Utah just east of Traverse Ridge. #wildfire #Lehi
Update as of 12am. Wind is blowing hard from the W-NW, driving the flame front but the thick smoke is obscuring the flames too.
Update at 12:20am: the worst may be over? Not seeing big angry flames quickly racing across the hillside anymore. Lots of hot spots, lots of smoke now blowing my way as the wind has shifted out of the north.
12:35am update. Remarkably the wind is now out of the N-NE, which is likely aiding in encouraging the fire to not burn as much in the original direction. Still a line of fire creeping up the hill. #wildfire #Lehi

1am update. Damn, the winds shifted back out of the west again driving the fire to fresh fuel. It started raining for a few minutes but has stopped. #wildfire #Lehi #BushFire
1:30am update. Winds are basically non-existent. Sky is clearing up, so no more rain looks like. Firefighters must be doing a hell of a job to keep those houses safe. #wildfire #Lehi #BushFire
2:15am update. The fire has flared up a few times. Winds remain rather calm, temp is dropping as this cold front settles in. Worst of the fire looks to be past the last street of houses, next neighborhood is a few miles away. Going to bed. Good job fire crews! #Lehi #wildfire
Morning update. Wow, I'm amazed and impressed that the fire crews were able to limit the spread so well, it is difficult terrain and it was spreading easily with the wind driving it. News reports are that no houses were lost, just a burned fence. Remarkable.
